Noise level from above

I am trying to write to the owner of the Verdel Pointe Apartments in Folsom California. For weeks now we've complained about the noise coming from above.

My husband and I and our dog live in a one bedroom apartment downstairs. Meanwhile, there's a family of 6 living about us (4 very young kids and their parents.) we have talked to the manager of the apartment and they told us to keep a log of when the noise happens. We did. Many complaints.

We emailed and texted them but they said the noise can go on till 10 pm! Meanwhile, we are downstairs with our dog who barks and growls when he hears the loud thumps. It's as if they climb on the chair or sofa and then jump onto the floor. It's like a herd upstairs.

The kids run they don't walk. A lot of noise stress has made us so unhappy. Unless management is standing in our apartment they won't know because all the noise shoots downward. They have not given any written warnings to them.

We are going crazy! My poor dog just growls and barks when he hears the loud poundings. They have thrown garbage in our backyard patio and management has cleaned up after them. I can't believe it!

The management recommended we log the complaints and send the in and after the verbal complaints, they would have to do a written warning.

Nothing has happened. We are waiting to move into another apartment, after it is confirmed we can do so by the manager's boss. We haven't heard nothing back. It's like no one cares.

These tenants don't even listen to management. Can somebody please do something. If we try to leave, they will charge us two months rent which is way too much for us. I don't think that's fair after everything we've been through.

We were so happy when we first moved in. But then they put a load people above us! This noise happens every day! Unexpectedly, you hear loud sounds that we just wait for..

Our quality of life just sucks right now. It's a brand new community in Folsom California. We love this place but need to move quick to another apartment.

This email is meant for the owner of this establishment--hopefully, he'll get it! Let us keep our sanity...

Contact a local tenants rights organization. You are in an impossible situation and mgmt should allow you to go ahead and move early. Make sure after you are gone that leave reviews on the websites for apartmentratings, google reviews and Yelp.

Incompetent Maintenance Supervisor

Original review Jun 10, 2024

Unfortunately, it seem like this property management corporate office down to the employees are unprofessional. A lot of tenants don't understand why this property management is still in business.

I'll submit maintenance work order 2-3 days up to a week advance to our leasing office for maintenance issues it takes our maintenance until Friday the following week towards the end of the day if he shows up at our apartment when we're there. We had pipes from our bathroom ceiling water leak and contact the after hours answering service and maintenance he never show up until the next day. Above apartment have water leaking down through our fire sprinkler valve bathroom ceiling near the toilet. Again, we contact after hours answering service when they finally reach our maintenance supervisor he finally return my call telling me he wasn't on the premises and a contact a plumber, he said plumber won't be able to come until the next day on Saturday morning.

I ask what does he expect us to do the entire night since we only had one bathroom toilet who want to get soak and wet while using the toilet? Our kitchen cabinet door has remain completely off since 2018. I've submitted service maintenance work order still haven't been completed. There are a lot of other maintenance issues it will take to long to post on this website.

This year in February was having issues paying on our rent through Active Building. I gave our leasing office on check for rent in February 2 I had to continually send email messages to the leasing office staff including both Regional Portfolio Manager at corporate office. Community Director reply and tells he's only on the premises on certain days . Our Assistant Community Manager doesn't know how to electronically scan the check.

Our rent check wasn't processed until February 12th. They always want the rent in time, including increasing the rent. There's mold on the baseboard our building stairway it look disgusting. That's unhealthy.

We have always seen roaches on the premises walking through building always, trash chute always overflowing.

This is the 4th property management company. The previous property management company hire professional staff and maintain the building better.

Suppose have pest control come, no one came. your staff seems to blame me for issues out of my control.

I need your staff to do their job for I have pest in my apartment and no one has come. I sent an email and I called someone and no one came.

I had to call the housing authority because an issue and I guess they didn't like that. They are the one who did wrong. I need some help with this. I have been living here for 15 years and I should not have to go thru something like this.

I need your help. PLEASE!

When you send them an email with your concerns about the community you live in and they don't care about it, it says a lot about the company. Unfortunately, since FPI management took over the apartment complex where I live, it has become a place without rules.

Everyone does whatever they feel like, from parking in prohibited areas to having sex in the pool.

Parties in that area happen very often after sunset and go on past midnight. It a shame I can not upload videos here

It's during the day and people are enjoying the pool. Doesn't appear that they are having sex in the pool, they all have their clothes on.

Pissed over their choice of music? If they are parked illegally then you call the cops.

Just because it is needed

I am currently living out of the state of Florida. I called on 2/20/2024 to see if there were any availabilities at Sactuary Cove apartments.

I called around 2pm, a lady answered the call. i asked if their we any availabilities, she said no. I asked her if i could be placed on a waiting list, I didn't hear what she said after so I said I'm sorry I didn't hear. Her voice got high and sounded annoyed and said no the list is full, and it is closed.

I am writing because as a person who speaks to people every day at work for all different states with all different personality, you have to be mindful of the customer service you provide. She may have been having a day I'm not sure.

However, this if just to say in the kind of profession that she is in wearing a smile on your delivery goes a long way when speaking to a consumer. This may not make a difference as i have reviewed that the complex is currently being sued.

FPI Felon Property Manager is still contacting me playing games asking me if I home. He must know where I moved to.

We are in lirtagation. Other tenants was sueing them. I was not involved until Anthony Jose Clark Jr came in my house to fix my heater when I was not home and stole from me. He had no idea that I would investifgate him.

I use to do investigation when I was younger for a legal service. How would you like to have a convicted Felon Manager with the keys to your home?

Original review Jan 15, 2023
FPI Property Management hires people who can get what they want done. Whether it is filling False Claims for PPE Payments, or Vandalizing and Burglarizing Tenants Apartments.

They are abusing Low Income Tenants in every way possible. They like to rent to people who do not know their rights. Furthermore, they are involved in increasing the rents across the Nation and making renting unaffordable. Not only that, but they conspire with Gang Members, LA City Housing Authority, LA City Housing to do terrible things to tenants like me who norder tgo against them.

This is the wicked Property Management Company I have ever rented from. Very few Honest Landlords want to deal with the Housing Authority, it is so corrupt. If we want to stop homelessness, we need to stop allowing companies this corrupt to do business and obtain Government Funds. FPI purposely hired a Felon to Evict, Harass Tenants who have been in the Building for years in order to make the move, so they can raise rents.

I have photo's and Video's of my house being looted. The apartment, windows do not lock in my apartment, it'been broken in so many times. When I reported to LA Housing agencies. They put incendiary devices in my window.

Thank God I had Renter'insurance, They are used to dealing with tenants who do not know their rights and are afraid to push back. After my apartments were Vandalized and Burglarized the Housing Authority tried to take my Voucher, after I begged them to allow me to move way before the apartment Vandalism accrued. I had to reach out to the LA HUD Office in order to transfer my Voucher. HUD needs to take control of LA CITY HOUSING Authority in order to help stop homelessness.

They play a major role in Homelessness. They give their friends vouchers 1st.

Poor Management Skills

Hello My name is Eric Harrison, I am a resident at 301 Gentry Way Reno Nv. I have fallen behind in my rent.

Yesterday the 16th of August 2023. I brought in a money order for part of my back rent. When I arrived at the office at 301 Gentry the receptionist was busy with another resident sitting at her desk. Julie was with some other people.

So I waited in the lobby for my turn. The people in Julie's office finish with their meeting first. So I gave her a few minutes to gather herself. She had seen me come into the office prior to the other people leaving.

The door was closed, so I went to the window and signaled if I could come in. Julie responded with her head *** right to left. So I went back out to the lobby and waited. She came out of her office into the lobby and asked if she could help me.

And I told I had a money order for her. And she motioned for me to give it to her right in the lobby. And I asked if we could go into her office. Instead of taking me in to her office, She stopped at the receptionist desk, where there was still a resident.

And handed over to her. It end up on the desk while she went get me a receipt. That gave the resident the opportunity to inspect my money order and comment where I had purchased it. None of that was any of his business and was very embarrassing for me.

And I would hope that she would have invited me into her office to handle such a transaction. Because these residents have nothing else except gossip. Im sure im the part of the continuous gossip that goes on here.

Julie and I have other problems prior to this situation. However, I have never ever raised my voice with her or used foul languages.

But I have shown my disappoint with her answers.

So please don't allow her to say she's afraid of me. When shown my disappoint, it's always been with a facial expression and nothing more.

I definitely wouldn't want someone else seeing my money orders. That's very unprofessional. She could have sat down in her office and kindly talked with the tenant

Are you serious when you posted this question? The tenant money order could have been stolen. Tenants deserve respect and privacy. No one what their identity stolen.

A product and shipment cost for Blistex!

The price and charge for 2 Blistex are usually at the cost of 2 @ $2.50 instead of $9.87 each. With tax $21.13.

I expected it to be $9.87 for a retail cost of a display box for that price. I called headquarters only to be hung up on.

Repair and rent credit issues

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I left two messages on my property managers supervisors voice mail on Friday with zero response. I also left the same voice mail on the generic line with no response.

Perhaps due to the July 4th holiday?? I don't know, because again, no response. I spoke with the operator who gave me the extension number, so they definitely were open.

I overpaid 1st months pro-rated rent on April 11 by $39.67. I've been trying to confirm that credit since.

I was given the amount to pay by the property manager at the time. When asked, she said the difference would just show as a credit. But, so far, nothing.

Leak in bathroom ceiling now for a month. No confirmation on scheduling plumber.

Previous maintenance guy said it was the roof, though I'm on second floor, there's a floor above me, and it drips even when not raining. Roofing company stopped by several weeks ago. I told them that, they said it's definitely not the roof but the plumbing. That guy said he'd let the office know.

The office plays totally ignorant on it, says he never told them, and then said they've left messages for the plumber with no response. I can't use that bathroom because the leak is over the toilet - you get dropped on when you try using the toilet.

Oven doesn't heat properly or hold temperature. Reported that for the first time April 18. Parts supposedly were ordered a week and a half ago, but no one has ever even looked at it.

One says the elements, one says thermostat, and it's still not fixed.

I've told the office my apartment has not been at 100% for even one day since moving in April 15. I'm extremely frustrated and irritated.

On top of all that, my rent is already increasing on Aug 1 by almost $100 due to updated HUD guidelines. Really, really irritating!!
